Paul Corsini (Tony Bill) has been rearing his daughter, Jenny (Ari Meyers), on his own for the past 12 years and feels that he has done a pretty good job. Having abandoned them to travel the world when Jenny was an infant, Elizabeth (Deborah Raffin) returns to New York and demands to see her daughter. Paul, angry and resentful, wants to protect his child and punish his former spouse. He seeks support from various friends and family members, but Jenny's curiosity about her mother might win out.
