Synopsis
A heroin-addicted musician finds his growing dependence on drugs taking a sizable toll on both his career and his marriage in Iranian director Dariush Mehrjui incisive addiction drama. Ali (Bahram Radan) plays a traditional stringed instrument called the santoor. A liberal young musician married to the beautiful Hanieh (Golshifteh Farahani), Ali suffers from a crippling dependency on heroin.
