Plot Summary
In the years after the Great Depression, Jay Blackman (Steven Keats) is a poor but ambitious kid in New York City's Lower East Side. After meeting shop owner Rhoda Gold (Dori Brenner), he marries her and begins his decades-long ascent in the garment industry, quickly becoming a major player on Seventh Avenue. However, his life isn't without complications, which include a new lover named Eva (Jane Seymour), his sometimes shady business dealings and his competitors' efforts to bring him down.
