Plot Summary
When Annie (Cameron Diaz) and Jay (Jason Segel) first meet, they have an instant and intense romantic connection. However, 10 years and two children later, the flames of passion have dimmed to dull embers. To bring back the spark, the couple decide to record themselves trying out every position in "The Joy of Sex," which seems like a great idea at the time -- until they discover that their private recording has gone public via the Internet.

  • Instead of soft core, Sex Tape offers no core. No narrative core, just a not-bad notion executed execrably; no core of conviction, just two stars trudging joylessly through swamps of mediocrity. show more

  • Sex Tape is sexcruciating. show more

  • Sex Tape is a hustler of a film — it works very hard for its laughs — but it's so haphazardly directed (by Jake Kasdan) and written (by Kate Angelo and Segel and Nicholas Stoller) that it can easily be divided into three distinct sections. show more

Went in with not so high expectations after reading the critics reviews in the newspapers. I was not disappointed. There were laughs but there was something missing from this movie. Save your money and wait 2 months until it comes on pay-per-view and then you'll only have to spend 8 bucks.

I can't believe I wasted money seeing two terrific stars in such a boring movie. Come on guys we pay lots of money to see these stars, get real!!! The movie wasn't 3/4 funny. No wonder it got a bad rating. Oh well I guess that's hollywood and the movies.
