Plot

Canadian character actor Saul Rubinek doubles as star and narrator of filmmaker Larry Kardish's Slow Run. On the loose in New York City, Rubinek finds himself inexorably drawn to creature comforts. On the brink of renouncing his bohemian ways, he must decide if life in the Fast Lane is truly for him. His mind reaches back to his simpler days above the border, allowing director Kardish ample opportunity for slo-mo and Felliniesque soft focus. Saul Rubinek also wrote the music for Slow Run, and, outside of veteran movie heavy Bruce Gordon, he's the only familiar actor in the whole cast.
