i honestly thought that this movie was going to be just gory and lame but it actually had a nice twist at the end, and had quite a few funny lines. i went with a huge group of friends and all of them thought it was great! i think it had a nice variety of cast members that made it not just ur orginal bad guys. i also live in tahoe which makes it just that much cooler

This movie was pretty good, granted it gets a little gory but it is nothing an adult cant handle. Pribb go watch the notebook with your "wife" (probably a man). If you want to see a movie with an original plot, great cast, explosive story and good action, this is the movie for you. I was a big fan of the movie "boondock saints" and this movie is similar in a sense. A movie should captivate you and this is what this movie did for me from start to finish. Bottom line go see this film

confusing in the begining; weak with its ending but everything comes together. the stuff in between is worth every penny paid. ryan reynolds is a sexy sexy man and even ben afflect does a good job.

I don't get how the critics came down on this movie so harshly. I thought it was well done, and the fact that respected opinions say otherwise makes me second guess my judgement. Almost every scene grabbed me, the ending gave me chills. Perhaps I'm just an action junkee with a strange obsession to Jeremy Piven. He played a great role like always, honestly reading reviews on this movie made me lose respect for these critics. The only aspect of this movie that could be criticized is the fact that the plot is very complex and could cause confusion. Without a doubt I suggest it though.

This movie is what entertainment is all about. I thought it was a great film. The story, the actors and the action came together perfectly.It makes The Departed look like a Charlie Brown Special. On a scale of one to ten..an eleven!

If you get pass the B.S. ending...the rest of this movie is an action packed fast-paced gory helluva ride! Just sit back and enjoy the characters,the endless slaughter and the envitable showdown. DON'T listen to the critics! If you were even thinking of going to see this...you already know the critics and you rarely see eye-to-eye anyway!! Go and enjoy...

if u're considering seeing this movie, maybe u already have a good idea of what to expect, but... i was just expecting action, not like this. some of u might roll your eyes at me, but... (without spoiling anything) when i saw the back of a naked man hanging upside down and being SHOCKED in a place meant only to be treated nicely - and that was just one scene of many that practically had me curled up in a fetal position - i tried to be tough but i had to get out of there EVEN despite knowing i'd have to wait for my guy out in the cold - THAT was how much i needed to get out of there. for the record, my guy's witnessed a lot of RAW stuff in his life and even he was not wild about this piece of trash, and the people who sat through it looked traumatized. so, if you know what you're getting into and you think you can handle subjecting yourself to this, then... whoa :) but hope i've saved even one person from seeing this movie.

I watch every new action/suspense thriller movie and none has put me o[n the egde of my seat near as much as Smokin Aces, the A-list actors perform perfectly, the action scenes are tip-top, everything about this movie, including its spectacular surprise ending puts it in my Top 5 of all time, Bottom Line: If you like action movies, with great storylines, perfect acting, and some crazy senseless violence, watch this movie, it wont dissapoint.
