A somewhat confusing yet mildly entertaining film! Interesting location work and a game cast gel into the film noir fans have come to admire. John Hodiak is good as the hero with a lost identity. M... s. Nancy Guild, in her debut, is cautious and does her best to be alluring in the Bacall type role she plays. LLoyd Nolan is great, as always, and the motion Of course Mr. Mankiewicz proved to be a formidable director just a few films later,and he gets the ball rolling here. Full Review
