One of the best movies Ever! We, as a family (ages, 8, 13, 16, 34, and 36), saw this movie for Mother's Day and not one of us was disappointed. Sure we all had different tastes and going into it we were not all excited (to say the least) about seeing the movie but it really had something for everyone to enjoy. It had mindblowing effects to keep the younger and videogame loving crowd interested, a complicated, soap like storyline and fairly cute younger cast to hold the attention of teenagers (mainly girls...lol), and stayed close enough to the orginial cartoon that the older crowd could get into it. The acting was also very good. They did have to use the willing suspention of disbeleife but they did it exceptionaly well. Kudos to the Entire cast! This movie will most certainly be added to our dvd collection on the day of it's release! However there were a few curse words (somewhere between three and six), violence, and there was an uncalled for sign. Curse words such as were used, though, could be heard just as easliy on daytime or primetime telly, violence is shown in nearly all genres, and the sign is made very quickly (perhaps in an effort to keep younger children from noticing it?). All in all what was shown could just have easliy been seen by younger crowds while watching something else on the telly.

OK this is one strange movie........Cmon, its Speed Racer, Its got to be a little cheesy, its has to have some bad acting, and chim chim, well, the monkey speaks for itself. To Start, Who was the casting director? And who wrote the script? And finally, it was just to to long...for me and the little twelve year olds sitting around me. A flashback that should have been five minutes ends up like twenty five minutes, a plot line so thin john goodman looked skinny in, and Mathew Fox from lost looking quite lost as Rex, Speed Racers brother. But it was visually out of sight....man those race scenes were quite trippy, trails and all. A third of the way through, and it finally started to gel,and it felt like the Real Speed Racer I watched when I was a kid. But scenes with Either John Goodman or Susan Serandeon just killed all action or any reality that this movie was trying to get across. A very strange strange movie from the wachowski brothers...swearing in a PG Movie? In my exact words, it was like tripping out and staring at a Dali Picture for two hours...what the *^)_)!! was that???????????

Family of four- two kids- boy aged 7 and girl aged 5- we all loved this movie. Lots of action and race scenes. I was not aware it had a motion sickness warning- and am surprised. I don't recall any "roller coaster" type scenes and the action usually cuts back and forth to different cars, so I don't see how anyone could have a problem. This movie has no naked sex scenes and no blood and gore like most movies today. We all loved it and would see it again in a hearbeat. You will not be disappointed. A great movie for the whole family.

Are you serious? How can anyone say this movie was good? I'd give up my left nut for this movie NOT to be made. I would stick a pencil in my eye and swirl it around and be in agony for this garbage to be not made. I would watch the movie "Glitter" over this piece of fluffy turd.

This is a rare PG rated movie that both my father (43) and myself (18) absolutely loved!! And want to see it again! The movie ended with both our jaws dropped in amazement of how cool it was. "Speed Racer" is a fun, exciting, revolutionary movie that anyone can enjoy. And it is simply wrong as to how people are reviewing this movie. We both also saw "Iron Man" which was good, but after seeing "Speed Racer", neither of us can look at "Iron Man" quite the same. This is one movie the critics are absolutely wrong on.

My parents took my six-year-old son to this movie--and wished they hadn't. My son liked the movie, but we are all hoping that he didn't pick up any new vocabulary, as s**t and a** are apparently used liberally during the movie. The fact that the little boy flips someone off (to cheers and laughs from the audience) has us all hoping that this gesture doesn't become a part of my son's repertoire, either. My parents report a lot of action, violence, and threats of violence. All in all, it is a movie that I wish my son hadn't gone to see--or that my parents had not let him finish.

This movie is totally boring and a waste of my money, my husband was snoring loudly, so the best thing we did was to sneak in and see Iron Man again..........Spend your money wisely and watch Iron Man instead.....I wouldn't even rent Speed Racer or buy the dvd!!!

i went into this movie thinking that it would be cheesy (due to the dayglo artificial looking trailers) and not true to the original speed racer...but was i in for a surprise...the wachowski bros really did it again..the movie was definitely true to the original, but in an updated and surrealistic way...the action was awesome and the races very exciting...i was on the edge of my seat...laughing...and sometimes yes even teary eyed...this movie is not for the very young or for the very old, but for the young at heart and for fans of speed racer!!

The movie was a real hit with my three boys (13,10 and 7) and I enjoyed it as well. I wasn't sure what to expect going-in after the mixed reviews ... but Speed Racer really delivered. Non-stop action, great special effects and a pumped-up sound track! Some people have complained about the movie's length, but for us, the movie's pace wasn't an issue. Go Speed Racer, Go!

Unlike other Summer movies that are made to please the masses mainly just to get the money out of your pocket and make sequels, "Speed Racer" took the cartoon show from back in the day (not the remakes you see today) and did something spectacular with it. The races are the best part and do a good job of bringing you into the action. If you're mad cuz the characters said "@ss" and "****" like once in the movie. Well to steal a line from a comedian, "Show me an adult who doesn't say the word '****' and I'll show you someone who is full of ****." Anyway this movie might be marketed to the kiddies, but we all know the Wachowski Brothers are way deeper than that. Open up your mind. The scenes are supposed to look cartoonish, no one complained when watching "Sin City", so stop the hating it's called artistic expression, or do you want every movie to be exactly the same?
