Plot Summary
This documentary offers a profile of the Persuasions, a black a capella ensemble that began performing together in 1970. Through a series of interviews with the living members of the enduring group, along with both new and archival performances, director Fred Parnes chronicles the Persuasions' career-long journey, beginning with their formation in Brooklyn. The singers also offer insight into personal hardships they faced in the 1980s, including the death of one of their own.
