star trek is awsome

Ok as far as movies go, this is the best ive seen in a long time. It had action, humor, drama, and a great story line. The actors all did a great job, and brought a fresh new vibe to ST universe. I never watched any star trek growin up cause basically it looked really weak. I was skeptical walkin in that i was just throwin my money away. Boy was i wrong, i would have payed double considerin most films they put out now are crap. And to all you trekkies who are whinin about how they changed things, have your mother come and change your diaper and just admit you liked it too. Sayin otherwise just to impress your lil trekkie friends is just unlogical!

Fantastic, especially if you are an original Trek fan

A very well done movie. The new actors rendered the spirit of the original characters superbly (most especially my favorite fictional character of all time, Spock). I particularly enjoyed the tongue-in-cheek bits--Kirk usually gets the girl (but this time Spock does); Kirk was Captain & Spock was First Officer, and for a time in the movie Spock was Captain and Kirk first officer. . . . the way Spock, the seat, and the window of the future-ship forms the Vulcan IDIC. Scotty prosing on about food (instead of Scotch whiskey). Spock, for once, recommending against the "logical" by saying, not in this instance, no. And I loved the bit where the R2-D2-like robots fire away from the saucer section of a starship . . . Most of all, I loved seeing Leondard Nimoy playing Spock again. A very satisfying movie. I hope they make many more, and keep them as good as this one.

I have watched all the star trek movies and TV episodes - and do like this movie - the characters were great - the story good - my kids loved it as well. Except for the bit with the planet vulcan. That just changes everything that has already happened - and changes the whole essence of the charaters, making certain things that have already happend - impossible now - and could have easily been left out and it wouldn't have changed anything with the movie itself.

I feel that the producers ,directors and the actors all deserve an award. I grew up with Star Trek watching the original series on my parents black and white tv set on 9/8/1966 when I was five years old and was hooked on Star Trek ever since. My dad had the same year and make color mustang. What good memories . Anyway , it was nice to see Leonard Nimoy. I can't wait to buy the DVD .

OMG!! I was a trekkie growing up and I absolutely loved Star Trek. I loved this movie. The best thing about it was the end, When Captain Kirk walked into the bridge and Spock came in and the music started. It gave me chills because it's like that is the beginning of the Star Trek series and you see the whole crew. I loved it!!!!!

I have been a Star Trek ever since I started watching the orginal series and the other series since then. I have seen all the movies and the movies with the orginal crew are my favorites and I am sure that goes for other fans. When I heard about this movie I am sure like many fans that they dont screw this up. Well to make a long story short I loved this movie and have already seen it twice and plan to go see it again. Should they plan to make any more movies I know I am going to see them.
