I loved this movie and have watched it at least 50 times. I'm still not clear about two things. One, when Cal found out that Annie knew So nja was getting paid the $26,000 per month Cal realized that Steven was the real guilty party. How did Annie know about this money? Two, who was the shooter going to kill at the end? I don't think he knew Cal would be at Steven's office. Does anyone out

Jason Bateman.....as Dominic....credible...leaving the mind...hanging for more...of him in State of Play....like some unfinished...chapter....some person of interest...appetizer...of something much more...to be heard...seen...fully revealed....a fully developed character...that walks off out of sight...leaving you wanting more....loved State of Play

Russell Crowe is very good in the movie. The other stars are good too. Interesting and entertaining but the plot is indeed transparent.
