I love heart-tugging films. What this flick shows,is strength and Hope of a southern people. Around Truvy"s (Parton) salon, many people flock in patronage. We meet Ouiser Boudreaux(MacLaine) ,M'lynn Eaterton(Field), and Clairee Belcher (Dukakis). Eaterton's daughter Shelby (Roberts) gets married, and the town is set for a great party. Ainelle (Hannah) is Truvy's assistant who everyone worries
