Step Up 2: The Streets User Reviews

I went to see the movie because I like to dance and I am a big fan of dance movies, going back to "Beat Street", "Break Dance", "Stomp the Yard" and a few others. But unfortunately this was somewhat disappointing. The thing with this movie, first of all, it's suppose to be a dance movie, there was deffinitely not enough of that, the dancing that there was, was good but like I said, not enough. Second, they kinda had the right idea in regards to the story line but, the acting sucked, the writing stunk because they way they acted. I grew up in NYC, when breakdancing was hot, and believe me they tried to make it somewhat ghetto, but unfortunately had a couple of white actors that did not fit the role or truly knew what they were getting into. The few scenes where there was dancing was good, but not enough like I said. Two and a half stars for this movie, better luck next time.

This movie was amazing and better than the first! It was made by a younger (and in my opinion better) director than the first one. There were a lot of shocking and funny moments and the acting and plot were better too, it moved very fast. Plus this movie and a LOT more dancing. I'm watching it again in the theaters then buying on dvd! -- www.aminaartist.com

Dear pony homeI think your 10 1/2 is old enough to see it. I took my friend and her lil sis that is 10 1/2 and she didnt mind. I am eight grade so just go it is not like there not going to hear the lang in school. beside it got street dancing.

I loved Step Up but Step Up 2 is so much better. I was never bored during a single minute of this movie. The dancing and acting was amazing. Love the actors. Great Story. Can't wait to see Step Up 3D.

Cute story, loved the scenery (since I'm a Baltimoran), and the dancing was awesome!!! Nice to see some new faces. Boy, can those kids move!!! Very entertaining with spectacular dancing!

Pride and the Prejudice meets Flashdance, it's entertaining and well paced. The actors are competent and appealing and the final dance sequence in the streets competition is worth the price of admission by itself.

I think this movie was amazing! The acting, dancing, and music! The dancing was just so good. I watched the movie the first day it came out and rented the movie the first day also. I watch it all the time, ha i just watched it last night. But anyway, the movie was amazing. The music was terrffic! Seriously, i love all the songs! But dont get me wrong i love the first step up too:):):):)! I love all dancing movies. But i think step up 2's dancing was the best! Andie did amazing, and so did Rob Hoffman!

why is everyone hatin on this movie??? i thought it was AMAZING! id recommend it for sure, im in love with it and ill go see it again anytime!
