'Don't know what I expected, but this movie was so stupid that when the slimy creatures appeared, I thought it might be a parody of black and white movies I saw (and took seriously) with my freaky friends in the Fifties and early Sixties. I will say it was funny, and the local characters in the grocery store were endearing in their way. My 21-year old son and I left early but we will be chuckling about The Mist for some time to come.

As always king movies always deliver ,he is the king of Horror. We all would love to see more of his books turn into movies.

This movie was a superb character analysis. When the ***** hits the fan who you think will step up to the plate doesn't. The dialog between the people was very believeable and that is something you dont often find in movies. There are many actors in this movie you have seen many times and they are very good. Scary and tense. There has been alot said about the ending.All I have to say is that this ending was very powerful to me and it just hit home, that you can never give up on hope!!!!! WORTH SEEING!!!!!!!

I loved it! It was great to see two main characters who are both strong, independent females; something lacking in most genres. Any anti-religious overtones that Christian fundamentalists are latching onto were not at all evident. This is a fun, unpredictable adventure that focuses on truth and free thought...if there is something wrong with teaching children and young adults those values, then I don't know what is right. The animals are a wonderful part of the story as well!

cynical to its deepest core. nevertheless, it showed that fundamentalism of any kind is dangerous and not of Christ. The one line that resonates was when one of the characters addressed the Marcia Gay character "I believe in God--just not the bloodthirsty...that you've been shoving down our throats (probably not a completely accurate quote). In the end however (and given the ending), I can only rate this as depressing.

I'm a horror movie fanatic. I'm was so pleased with this movie. Maybe there's hope for this dying genre after all. I felt like this movie had all the elements of a true horror masterpiece. Let me warn you though. The ending is horrible. It broke my heart. But hey, it's a horror movie, isn't it supposed to horrify you? I'll definitely buy this when it comes out on DVD!-LeO

This movie is top of the line...i think i'm going to enjoyy it =] cant fricken wait till tomorrow night. thats whats up =] i will just predict the ending right now...something weird...let me think for a second...its coming to me...here it is...in my crystal cube =] he has a revolver..and hang on i lost it for a sec....wait my vision is coming back to me!!..he has four bullets, and four people...not including him (five people total)...he thinks the monster mist or something whatever (idk cuz i've never seen the movie yett) will eat him cuz he ate all the other people (probably) he then shot the four people, got out of his car to be eaten by this mist or whatever...(again......i have not seen this) then the army tanks and everyone come and save him, so if he would have waited any longer the people he shot would have survived!!! but thats just me...idk it could really be anything!!! just an educated guess/hypothesis!!!

After the disappointment that was 1408, I was very relectant to see this movie. However, I was pleasantly surprised. This movie was actually okay. Yes, like any horror movie, the story line was kind of unoriginal (though, what is originality anymore?). However, it was still entertaining and I was looking forward to what was going to happen next. It was a good thriller and one that I may add to my horror collection when it comes on DVD. The ending was surprising...I was expected a happily ever after, which made the movie more appealing, but overall, and comparing with 1408, it was a decent movie.
