Plot & Details
A couple who have been getting by on good luck and smarts find their luck running out in this comedy from filmmaker Jordan Vogt-Roberts. Drake (T.J. Miller) and Lindsay (Lizzy Caplan) are a couple in their late twenties. They're in love, they're planning to get married, and they're both doing well in their careers. However, they also have something else in common -- they're both alcoholics just barely holding their lives together as they drink themselves into a stupor nearly every night, often ending up in some embarrassing situation. While Drake and Lindsay's bosses and co-workers can't help but realize they drink, they're also good enough at what they do to be valued employees despite it all, but things finally take a turn for the worst when Drake is sent on a business trip to Denver and the unthinkable happens -- they're forced to spend a night without liquor. Successful Alcoholics was an official selection at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival.
