Essentially the story of a loser unwilling to do the work needed to become a professional baseball player. No redeeming value in this low budget (and it shows) film.

Having played minor league baseball myself for about 7 years and playng with MANY Dominican ballplayers (and Latin), I REALLY wanted to like this film but there was just something missing. I think they could have done more to show the reality of what happens when many latin ballplayers do NOT get to the big leagues where they literally go from living in the USA to being shipped back to the Dominican or the country they are from and most of the times, back to poverty and a life much different. There's just many missing points from this movie. They should have shown how the agents in these cities take advantage of the latin ballplayers. anyhow, nice movie but far from what I was hoping to see
