i went to see this movie a few days after it came out within the first half an hour of this movie i wanted to walk out allthis movie taks about is having sex, masterbaiting,and other crude things also there was way to much cursing i mean hs kids dont talk like that im in the 10th grade and i dont talk like that. donot take anyne under 16 to see this movie big mistake.

My husband and I heard "Superbad" had good reviews and went to see it as our first long weekend objective. Wow, what a mistake. My husband loves stupid movies, but this was even too bad for him. Neither of us had ever walked out on a movie before, we did on this one. Just stupid, as someone else described it. No redeeming qualities at all!!!!

I never write reviews. I do read them. We wanted to see a light funny movie. This had to be one of the worst movies I have seen in a long time. Please don't waste your time and money. we should have walked out but I kept thinking with all the fairly good reviews it would get better. What a mistake

WOOWWW R YA'LL SERIOUS I agree what some of these people are saying here and the people that liked the movie well that is because use are not fans of the the film to begin with no matter what use say this movie was terrible rob zombie is a joke he cannot MAKE MOVIES AND HE JUST SCREWED UP TO ME THE BEST CLASSIC HORROR FILM its messed up it had nothing to even do with the classic and alot of scenes were switched around f**** man i rather watch jason x and that was terrible than watch another one of this mans films he is a disgraced and he made me disgusted wasting $10 to go see that bul i never dislike someone i never met him this is the first

It should have been better.Great subject---HS buddies near graduation about to go ontheir seperate ways----Wev'e seen it before, American Graffitietc. Yet the language was unnecessarily filthy----HS studentsonly talk this way in the minds of writers who can think of littlethat is clever to say.There are some very funny moments---but these are too fewconsidering the length of this film.Chris Mintz-Plasse is a stand out as the misfit of misfits, McLovin.And the last scene as the boys go their separate ways is both touching and metaphoric..

I liked the comments made by jdlewis60 and aquagurl189 above. It scarey to think we, our society, has stooped to some of the areas this movie (wouldn't even class it as comedy) blatently exposed and exploited as comedy. Even my teenaged daughter was shocked and thought it was poor comedy....that says something...thank God! The script showed lack of intelligence by the writers and what were the directors thinking? Period blood on someone's pants...was that funny to anyone? I'm sure everyone will make their money, based on some of the other opinions here. I prefer "Dumb and Dumber", very clever; "You, Me and Dupree", "RV", "My Cousin Vinny", "Something About Mary", and lots more. Now those are funny movies and don't stoop to cursing, and fowl (not just cursing) language as the soul of their comedy. Save your money and time. If you must, once you've seen the first half hour, you've seen the movie.

I usually don't go to see movies that are based on true events,but I decided to see this one because of Sam Jackson. I think this was one of his best performances but the film wont make a lot of money because it was a drama. Young people, who by the way powers the box office, would rather see an action movie filled with CGI. I'm sure the producers of this movie knew that before making it, which means their target audience was older adults.
