I love Superman but when is Superman going to fight someone worth his time? When are movie producers going to drop Lex Luther and give Superman a real challange? I would love to see Superman fight a real supervillan like Iron Man, Spiderman, the Advangers and the X-Men do. Come on Movie producers, give us a REAL Superman.

the movie killed the whole superman franchise and now neither Roth nor Singer will be back.
You have no idea of superman, and would not know a good movie from a cheap box of cigars.

The film's most striking repeated effect, in which the caped hero dangles dejectedly in space as the Earth turns below him, emphasizes the passivity and loneliness of the character: This Superman's version of flight seems almost indistinguishable from a helpless freefall. The daunting logistics of Superman Returns have obviously affected the director's work -- thus the hit-or-miss continuity of the narrative -- but Bryan Singer hasn't been defeated by them. While his movie can be cumbersome, it's consistently alive, and that is saying a lot when many such productions are dead in the water, on land or in the air.
