Surprise, Surprise

A closeted television star is forced to reconsider his definition of family after his long lost son shows up on his doorstep, and turns his life upside down. Den (Travis Michael Holder) lives in a sprawling Hollywood Hills mansion, though it feels more like a prison since it's the only place he can be alone with his disabled younger lover Colin (John Brotherton). When homophobic sixteen year old David shows up seeking to connect with his famous father, Den finds both her personal and professional lives falling apart. Perhaps with a little help from a sympathetic friend (Mary Jo Catlett), this unlikely trio can form a new kind of family that's as loving and supportive as the real thing.
