I couldn't take this movie seriously. The second Johnny Depp started singing I was laughing... In that aspect it is a VERY AMUSING movie. The plot however was lacking in my opinion. The idea for the plot wasn't bad, but the way it was enacted left something much to be desired. I felt parts of it were unbelievable, and many of the characters lacked development. I also felt parts of the movie were somewhat predictable, such as the ending. Leaving the movie I had the feeling I had just sat through a weird spin-off of Edward Scissorhands. Definitely not one of Tim Burton's best. All in all, if you want to be amused, and you have a stomach for gore, you'll probably enjoy it.

ABSOLUTE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. EVERYTHING CROWDED IN STORE. MUCH TO TIGHT. CASHIER WAS RUDE AND UNEDUCATED TO THE WAYS OF MAKING A PART CASH PART CHARGE TRANSACTION.

i have no idea why there is reviews for a restauraunt on the sweeney todd page but anyways this movie is amazing in every way. its artistic, beautiful, dark, and genius. all i can say is wow. i will definetly be going to see it again! if you dont like dark movies dont waste your time because this is very dark. oh yeah and johnny depp is Very good to look at.

All I need to say is DO NOT see this movie if you have a weak stomach or don't enjoy musicals. The movie was so graphic that it made me nauseous to the point that I almost left the movie theater. Although, if you like gorey movies, its a really good movie for you.......just don't go see it if you squirm at the sight of blood.....

simple restaurant, fresh vegetables and seafood (not frozen), great for takeout as well. Speak to female owner. She is very accomodating.

This is some of Tim Burton's finest work! And Johnny Depp gives an amazing and chilling performance!! All the characters in this film were cast very well. This was a musical on Broadway starring George Hearn and Angela Lansbury ("Murder She Wrote"). This film takes it to a whole new level of darkness and mysteriousness. Yes, it's a musical. Most of the story is told though song and the composer Stephen Sondheim has very intricate songs. I think the characters sang very well. It's not easy music. Sacha Baron Cohen as Pirelli is brilliant!! You really can't go wrong with this cast. I was deeply engaged in this film.

Is there any part Johnny Depp can't play? He is a pure joy to watch and now we find that he can sing!Helene B is awesome in the part of Mrs. Lovitt as she and Johnny are well matched.All of the actors were excellent, with the younger ones stealing the show with they're great vocals.Granted, this movie is very "bloody", but it never was written as a fairy tale and Tim Burton set the standard for the way it should be portrayed. He is a genuis.I have seen it twice and will be the first in line to buy the DVD.

totaly agree, it should be the new rocky horror, johnny depp was the best. I have yet to hear anyone mention Hellen Bonham Carter, but she was also amazing. Mrs. Lovits is the best character in a movie in a long time, brilliant. Stellar pice of work, i deserves more reconition than it got from the oscars. This movie is sharp and smart and funny with fantastc direction from Tim Burton. I so wish i could see the stage version. Artistic and brilliant, ever single minute of it.

i wasnt foresure if i would like this movie at first because it was a musical but the songs were mostly catchy and dark. the only song i didnt like was the song about i feel u joanna(lol). i really liked the story line and i think if ur a fan or tim burton and johnny depp then u will definitely love the movie.
