This is an awesome film that was made for the uncanny sum of $3,000 (that is no typo -- three thousand dollars). It takes place entirely in NYC's upper West Side, and has an outstanding cast of unknow... ns. Filmed on digital video, it has a realistic style that makes it seem like a documentary. But as the tension builds, it turns into a thriller. The mundane existence of undocumented workers is clearly depicted, as well as the harsh reality of the lifestyle. The audience comes to really care about Ming Ding (Charles Jang). Director/producer/writers Sean Baker and Shih-Ching Tsou have made a remarkable film. I hope it finds the audience it so richly deserves. Full Review
