The story line of this movie is about human trafficking -- attractive females being kidnapped and sold to the highest bidder, mostly forced into torturous prostitution. The movie highlights groups of predators that target naive, attractive females who kidnap them from their lives for the very lucrative business of forcing them into prostitution. Some conditions shown were where the kidnapped women were forced to work out of a warehouse where clothes lines were put up and blankets placed between each bed. The men were lined up outside like waiting for a bathroom stall to open up, once one did the line would move. The women were not given rest but instead were kept drugged up and had to service man after man after man after man... while the place was guarded by armed criminals 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It appears the women continued working until they died. Liam Neeson plays the father of a girl that was kidnapped for this activity and he had 96 hours to find her before the chances of finding her would drop to zero. The movie was fast-paced and action-packed. Makes me wish in real life people were really rescued like this... killing nearly all the bad people that were involved along the way. I give this movie the highest rating for the subject matter. I think it is good to show girls some of the tricks of how these predators work. Hopefully some walk away learning to be more diligent in their surroundings and remaining safe, even when traveling.

Really a disappointment. You don't tell you daughter airports, bus and train depots are a place to meet slime balls. Movie insults Albanians and the French. Eastern European organized crime, and corrupt police are serious issuses as is human trafficing. This movie made it into a circus. Liam Neeson, whom I alway considered a serious actor. Im disappointe he jjoined the ranks of Jean Clude Van Dam and Ruger Hauser.

This was a great movie. Liam Neeson is a great actor & once again did an awesome job! I was cheering throughout it! Must see! /so tired of movies who use special effects to keep your attention or to sell a movie. This one kicked ass!!!

It was a good movie but it just amazed me that Liam never took a bullet with all the bad guys dropping like flies in a fog of Raid.

I watched Taken with my wife ,we both thought it was the best movie we have seen in a long time,started kinda slow to get the story line but picked up into an great action movie.would highly recomend.sorry for liam Neesons wife she was a beautiful women
