Ted

R| 1 hr. 46 min.

Plot Summary
When John Bennett (Mark Wahlberg) was a little boy, he made a wish that Ted (Seth MacFarlane), his beloved teddy bear, would come alive. Thirty years later, foul-mouthed Ted is still John's constant companion, much to the chagrin of Lori (Mila Kunis), John's girlfriend. Though Lori's displeasure is exacerbated by the pair's constant consumption of beer and weed, she's not the one who's most disappointed with John; it may take the intervention of John's boyhood toy to help him grow up at last.

  • It's hysterically, gut-bustingly funny. show more

  • Ted is often hilarious, sometimes sweet and, in the spirit of "Family Guy," consistently raunchy. Yet it's seriously overextended and, as the premise wears ever thinner, frantically overproduced. show more

  • Ted is really a rather sweet examination of loyalty, friendship, and love. Wahlberg and Kunis are charming together (though not exactly in a Cary Grant / Audrey Hepburn kind of way), and both manage to play this thing - at least the challenges-of-a-serious-relationship part of this thing - straight. show more

Everyone told me that this was a \"cute\" movie - even my wife. So, I Neflixed it for her. This is not an adorable cute movie by even the most liberal standards. Using the \"flusher\" rating system - with 5 flushes being the worst, this movie deserves a 5 flusher!

If you are a fan of Seth MacFarlane entertainment, then you will absolutely love this movie. The tone of the jokes and overall movie does not differ much from that of Family Guy. Although funny, the jokes are not very original. But they do demand laugh after laugh. A great pick for a smoky evening.

This movie was horrible, and I really like Mark Wahlberg & Seth McFarland\'s work. Laughs were few and far between. What a waste of 106 minutes of my life.
