Bale even cedes the juiciest part to Aussie newcomer Sam Worthington, who is star material as a machine with a conscience. T4 is a mixed bag, but it's not f***ing amateur. show more

When Christian Bale allowed himself to play Bruce Wayne in "Batman Begins," he was slumming - and to good effect. But with Terminator Salvation, this ostensibly serious actor takes up residence in the action ghetto, and it's not a good fit. show more

The predictable story feels as if it were written by a computer program labeled "sequel." show more

It's a deafening, sometimes boring, occasionally startling and ultimately impressive war movie with a concern for what it is that makes us human. show more

A dark-and-stormy sci-fi shoot-'em-up directed by McG, T4 has enough hardware and havoc to satisfy the crowd of action junkies and gamers who sped to "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" on opening weekend. (Terminator Salvation is a couple of liquid metal drops' more satisfying, but only a couple.) show more

In Arnold's absence, an important ingredient of the "Terminator" iconography -- namely, the fun factor -- is in short supply. show more

With its idea of an insurgency striking against an implacable evil empire, there's more than a little "Star Wars" in Terminator: Savlation, although not even at its "Empire Strikes Back" bleakest was Lucas' series this dark. show more

Despite some laughably silly plot elements, McG has created an overall entertaining movie experience. It's a great kick-off to the summer explosion season. show more

Just an opinion but next \'\'terminator\'\' animated!?!?!!@#$%^&*()_+ Very sad. I know that this is sci-fi but, to me, within sci-fi there is the possibility of reality at some point in the future. A cartoon is fantasy regardless of the amount of lipstick one puts on it. Cartoons that are even based in historical fact are hard pressed to relate, to the viewer, an important and serious point. How serious would we have taken Platoon, Tora, Tora, Tora, Midway, Born on the Fourth, Saving Private Ryan, etc, etc. It is without argument that any of the \'\'terminator\'s\'\' are in the same class as the afore mentioned works but they all are in a similar genre and force the viewer to consider the depraved nature that our species can descend.

The movie is okay, not a lot of language. I wish the actual arnold schwazzenger was in it not a computer image of him.

I did like this movie. I'm not sure how it could've been better. I do agree with drakeypool3, that the "take my heart" scene was really lame.

Was cool until the absolutely ridiculous, "take my heart," scene. Last time I checked you can't just transplant any random heart into any given person; what if they were a different blood type?" And the little head nod Sean Connor gives in this scene is hilarious. Predictability was expected but give me a break.

Christian Bale looked bored. The movie lacked a cohesiveness and was directed like a music video without an inspired direction. Sam Worthington gave the best performance.
