Critics nailed it...the movie was a boring, ineptly directed disappointment. The trailers were a scam...I'd give them 5 stars. McG is an idiot and this film was idiotic. The only thing I liked was the first ten minutes, I almost got up and left the theater when the idiocy really kicked in about halfway thru with the stupid Marcus escape from the Resistance compound.

This movie in my opinion deserved 4 stars . The overall performance was well written and directed. The actors were in character,the suspense and special effects were great. I guessed the ending . I still feel that Terminator 1 was the best.

This movie was definitely not as good as the first 2 but is better than the 3rd. I loved the action, but it was definitely not as good of action than the first 2 (again, but better than the 4th). Overall: not as good as the first 2, but better than the 3rd.

Disappointing to say the least. The movie is a one note bore. The dialogue is atrocious. Slipping in the “I’ll be back” line was as forced a line as I’ve ever seen. In fact, it drew an audible groan from the small crowd I saw it with. Leaps in logic and rather mundane action drop this film to the bottom of the barrel in terms of summer blockbuster material. I honestly can’t think of one thing the director did right. Shooting this one note crapfest through panty-hose to give it a grainy feel may have seemed like an artistic touch but all it did was add to the unsavory feel and genuine disappointment this movie

This is not a good movie. I was never able to get into the movie while watching it. The acting was not that good. The action scenes had its nice concepts but really lacked the Basics of the other terminators movies. I know ******** in the future ************ was not good. I was excpecting a lot more to it. The story line didnt have sense of thought in it. It was all put together in a rush and it really lacked the adrenaline the first time you watch the others Terminators.

I consider my self a terminator fan myself I liked the first 2. I thought the 3rd one pushed it and after seeing the 4th movie I have only one thing to ask when wont it be back ????????

I have watched all of the Terminator movies and even the series on television of "The Sarah Connor Chronicles" For me the main character should have always been John Connor. But in Salvation sorry but the Marcus character made the movie. I do get that this was the story of what all the other movies were leading upto about what the future is like for John when it is based in the future. None of the others were based in the future they had characters from the future. This is the present time in the future. Bale did an o.k job as John Connor I just wanted more "John Connor" but Marcus stole that. The best scenes of the movie were with Marcus. It was an o.k movie but not what I expected.

What happened here is what happened to the Transformers movie. You can tell this was NOT supposed to really be a Terminator movie, rather just another movie with humans vs robots. To get more people to watch it, they change some things around and slap the popular title that people will recognize, on the movie and change some things to match (ala Transformers). The story line didn't have heart to it and was predictable. If you're going to steal the name of the damn franchise, at least give us a much different TWIST or plotline worth watching. The action was great though, the acting was *********** just something about the plot that really annoys me.
