I SAW THIS MOVIE AND I KNEW IT WAS GOING TO THE OSCARS THAT YEAR. THE PLAYBOY ASTRONAUT IN THE EARLY DAYS AS AURORA SAW HIM AND FINALLY GOT IN HIS PANTS AS THE YEARS WENT BY,WAS A BLAST.SAW HIM WITH ALL THE CHICKS,AND AT THE END HE WAS THEIR FOR HER IN TIME OF CRISIS.FUNNY AND EMOTIONAL WITH MEANING IN LIFE TRAUMA MOMENTS AND ISSUES. IT ROCKS,TAKE SOME KLEENEX"YOU WILL NEED IT. BIG LOU MIAMI FL

I thought this movie was heartwarming and moving;Aurora(MacLaine),has some strain in the relationship with her daughter Emma(Winger).Emma is married to Flap(Daniels), and they have two sons together.It is sweet to see how a family deals with crisis.Emma gets ill and doctors try to help her.During her daughter's illness,Aurora meets Garrett(Nicholson),who seems amorous and really honest.This fellow tries to be a shoulder for Aurora,when trouble arises.I thought the movie was wonderful, and loved the performances by Nicholson,Daniels and Winger. Bravo!
