I loved this movie. It was well-acted and made us all reflect on the horrors of the Nazi regime. This movie should remind us all that at anytime the world could resort to this hatred again. In fact...we should expect it within our lifetime...Man's inhumanity to man is as old as the world... As shocking as the ending was..it made a great statement.

SHOCKING ENDING...I WOULD HAVE NEVER EXPECTED IT TO END LIKE THAT.....the movie overall was great....i loved the way it showed not only the point of view of the Jews but the Germans. It also shows a point of view most holocaust movies dont. The childrens view of the whole thing. This movie also has a life lesson. Friendship, the hardships of war.

Somewhat mediocre but a TRULY SHOCKING ending, which I never would have predicted.Innocence found and lost, everlasting friendship, and the stupidity of the Nazi regime all in one.

This film had a strong impact. The ending is very rough and I almost felt like I was in it. I got a stomach ache from crying. The boys were very good actors and carried the movie.

One of the best films I've seen in years and probably the best of the Holocaust films I've seen. Beautifully acted and a truly different view of the war through the eyes of a child. I took my almost 12 year old who sobbed through one scene. She didn't know some of the history of the Holocaust and it's a good opportunity to discuss. This is a must see.

A superb film with an unusual story and brilliant acting. The contrast in the photography was amazing. The storyline built from the start and there was not a sound in the theater. Except at the end for the sobbing. Thoughtful, well done, Oscar material.
