I was mesmerized by the expressiveness in the 8 year old main characters' eyes. Such innocence in such a hateful time.The quote at the beginning of the film says it all. No one in the theater in Prescott could leave their seat until the lights went on. I was sobbing. Amazing film.

This film is a must see! Poignant, Haunting, Story of Innocence, Betrayel, Tradgedy and Love all set in the mst horrible time in history , "The Holocaust" Fine acting by the entire cast and a strong message for all. The last image will stay in you head and grip your heart for a long time after. It is so strong and so valid! Don't miss this film!

The usual bad German, good jew movie with a twist. Well acted and worth your time to see it. Reap what you sow would be a better title.

This movie is absolutely phenomanal......the book turned movie is amazing is suck a heartfilled story about two boys of different ethicities and beliefs become friends even when they are supposed to have nothing to do with each other and be enemies. i read the book first and it was amazing..i recommened to deeply to everyone... the movie was great and the ending so so sad and life changing.

AMAZING MOVIE!! For the best, honest review, read Roger Eberts (of course!) to sse how great a film this is. It will absolutely stun you!! The only negative factor I found was the fact that the characters did not have German accents, but that was it. Otherwise, a MUST SEE MOVIE!!

This is a movie that everyone should see. Well worth your time and money. We must never forget, and this movie really drives home the message that hatred comes to haunt us all.

An extraordinary film which, while based on a simple story, develops its characters with a extraordinary deftness, understanding and complexity. It finally relies on a viewer's understanding of relationship, weakness, love, courage, fragility, and need, to sweep us to the ultimate conclusions that 'hate' is word too easily used, that evil exists, that the division of a people is an evil, that weakness and fear can be so easily manipulated for evil design, and that finally, that for the vast majority of humankind, we share one heart, defined by absolutely common and identical centers of relationship with family, with society and with hope. A brilliant film.

One more thing that I wanted to add, if you felt strongly about this movie, you also need to see the movie called Life is Beautiful. It's currently offered on OnDemand (comast) as a free movie. It is in Italian and I am not a fan of subtitles, but this was a wonderful movie as well. The beginning of this movie; well, I thought it was a comedy, but after a while, you will see that it has such great meaning to it. Another, "must see".

Theres too much emotion in this incredale movie for words. I agree fully with KAT3645. Its a movie worth watching that you will soak in for as long as you live.
