An ok movie about halfway through I thought I was watching Forest Gump, way too many similarities. While the acting was great, the story line was not orignial at all.

It was good, but too long. I would actually rate it somewhere between 3 and 4 stars. It was very well done with excellent acting. There were a few scenes though that didn't really add to the story and would have been better (in my opinion) had they not been included. That could have kept the movie at a little over two hours.

incredible artistry in the whole production starting with a mind-boggling gimmick (the man living backwards) and somehow realizing -and I do mean REAL-izing it into an incredible work of cinematic craft/art. Anyone who has an inkling of the enduring spirt, life as transcendent of mortality will be "blown away" by this movie - and I personally do NOT think that setting the movie in New Orleans at time of Katrina is over the top or too obvious - I consider it another perfect facet of the reealization. ALL the actors' performances were moving. I am personally an older man in a very special relationship with an incredible younger woman - perhaps I am therefore more vulnerable than some. I am also a romantic and a philosopher and a student of what makes man more than just mortal flesh - therefore also vulnerable. There is an old tale of The Blind Men and The Elephant (google it: Blind Men and an Elephant which is perhaps an allegory of the abundant nature of life - miraculous and infinite in possibilities. This movie shows some aspects of "the Elephant" rarely seen; and portrays most excellently other parts which we know and recognize at once. I believe it deserves to be a classic. [Time will tell, of course - nothing perfect lasts forever.]

This is a good story but it is way too long and very slow moving. I don't know what all the critics are raving about. Save your hard earmed dollars and see it on video. Good story but otherwise, nothing special

A tremendous waste of two and one half hours, insipid plot, pure smaltz, Forest Gump in reverse....

before the movie it is a good idea to use the bathroom. The movie is so good you won't want to get up. Be prepared to cry during this movie!

Definitely one of the best Brad Pitt movies ever, at first i wasn't sure how someone could age backwards which made me think the movie would be dumb, but after watching it, it actually made since a really good movie i would recommend it to all.
