This was one of the better movies over the last year. It kind of reminded me of Forrest Gump--traveling along through his life in time. Excellent!! I loved Cate Blanchette she can do anything.

This movie was surprising and Brad Pitt brought a new level of acting to this role. It was impressive and enjoyment to watch. My family and I loved the beautiful storyline.

This was the most miserable movie I have seen in a long time. I am a huge fan of Fitzgerald's story and have read it numerous times. This movie barely resembled the story, and failed to capture the feelings associated with it. I cry every time I read the story, and I could have cared less about any of the characters in this movie. As everyone has mentioned, no lows or highs. I think the only thing I recognized from the story was his name and the basic premise that he was born old and died young. And most of the time, it did not seem that that idea was the main point of the movie. Did anyone notice that most of the scenes were pointless? The director was trying to create an epic movie, filled with beautiful scenery and amazing technical accomplishments, but could care less about making a movie with any meaning. Why make the movie almost three hours? Everyone, read the story. You will not be disappointed with Fitzgerald. The movie, however, was a huge disappointment and one I never want to watch again.

I agree - I was bored. Brad's character was hard to like, or relate to. Just odd.

Great romantic movie, but very sad story. The ending is very sad. I usually don't cry over a movie, however, this one is a bit of a tear jerker. This is not a good holiday movie. It really makes you think about growing older, which can be very depressing.

this is a fantastic movie. I had no idea how long it was until we left the theater and I saw the time. Kate Blanchett is simply gorgeous and Brad's performance is very understated and moving. As a previous poster noted, the hurricane Katrina tie in was very disturbing. We don't know if Daisy's daughter left the hospital safely or not. I will difinitely see this again.

Have you ever seen a movie that you are not certian whether you liked or not? This is one for me. Was it slow, or was it mesmerizing? Was it smart and introspective? Or, was it overtly impossible and dwawn out? At this point, I do not fee that I was greatly entertained. While somewhat intersting, and well acted, it fell way short for me as a special movie I look forward to watching on Christmas day.
