One star for the fact I do not have to see this again. Save your money, even waiting for the one dollar DVD rental is going to be a waste of money. As my wife said as the movie ended, "Did they even watch this before the released it?" Price of orginal on DVD just went up......

Hollywood seems to have a massive creativity block. The Day the Earth Stood Still being yet another remake of an old classic science fiction film. Does Hollywood have no writers these days? Seems that special effects substitute for writing and editing talent. This movie was hugely idsappointing. Great effects, but the story line dots just didn't connect. Seems someone decided that something should connect the title to the movie, so the final scene was thrown in wihtout context or explained purpose. I'm surprised this one hasn't already been retired to DVD. What a waste.

I drove an extra 40min. to see this in imax and what a rip off, at the end was watching the creidts to see if Al GORE had something to do with this tree hugger gone sci-fi movie. Too bad you can'nt have negitive stars for the rating.

The line of this plot was right on for modern times as the plot of TDTESS 1951 for that Era. All the best parts were there even the blackboard formula. Terrific! I can't wait to buy the DVD.
