My favorite movie of all time. Well acted, well filmed. The movie world at that time reacted just as our so called modern world would today.
This is one of the best Sci-Fi movies of all time. It's a commentary on the political and social turmoil 1940's and 50's. The message of the movie is most important and it holds true still today. T... he score is legendary and this movie shaped how aliens and flying saucers are depicted in pop-culture even today. By today's standards the special effects and costuming seem a bit rudimentary. If you are able to slip your imagination into the era that the movie was filmed, though, you will be able to appreciate the effect it had on it's audience in the 50's. Full Review
