A sad, but powerful and good movie. Not your typical blockbuster, but a good foreign film, based on a true story. Even though the script is sad, the movie pleasantly goes on as the hero uses his imagi... nation. If you want to watch a movie out of the ordinary, go see this! Full Review

A scene in the movie shows Celine (the mother of Jean's children) caring for Jean in his hospital room. Jean receives a telephone call from the woman he left Celine for. Jean tells the woman, in the... presence of Celine, that he thinks of her and waits for her. One could view this as Jean's incredible insensitivity towards Celine. However, I think it demonstrates something else. Our wishful thinking that a tragic experience makes an individual saintly, is simply untrue. Jean has undergone a physical and spiritual transformation. In the end, he remains complete as a flawed human being. One might be afraid to see this movie due to the depressing subject matter. However, this is not a depressing movie. It is the story of one man, who through the love of family and friends, was able to break free and fly like a butterfly. Full Review

My state is quadriplegia, although I just broke my neck and can drive a special van, make love, and write like most brain injured people who have forgot decades of life's events.I bought ten of the b... ooks and gifted sorts like my Pastor and bookie. I treasure the thought it now a film. Many cheers to those who produced the film! Since it's 3 AM I better wait until tomorrow to find out if it is playing somewhere in Dallas? My first search says it tis not in Dallas therefore any help in finding a theater would be gracious.Peace on Earth, Good will to all us stroke and spinal cord survivors. Hold on a few years, and the stem cells taken from your own body will heal you more than your wildest dreams.Love and hope,Markbust@aol.com Full Review
