I Loved it

This was a really poor movie, Knightly is so over-rated, it seems they ask anyone to appear in films these days, even if they have not one degree of talent at all.

I thought this was a really good movie, Keira Knightly is always an excellent choice for English period films.

They could have ended it better and I don't mean changeing it but the finish was like they were running out of film or money .

Excellent movie!! Saw it the other night and was VERY impressed with Keira's acting, as well as Charlotte Rampling! Great costumes, great story!! If you like The Tudors on cable, you'll love this movie!! My rating: 9 out of 10

I was looking forward to seeing The Duchess but was disappointed it didn't blow me away the way I thought it would. For as sad of a story it was, it should've been a tear-jerker, not just a film that makes you shed a tear or two. The characters didn't make me feel their agony or their passion.

I loved this movie. It had my attention from start to finish. Keira stole the show and Ralph was spectacular too. The whole production from music to scenery to costumes was splendid.....but the acting is what made it a must see. Some of the content was a bit hard to take but I felt that it was necessary to show the "status quo" for marriages in those days. The movie made me smile....made me laugh.....made me mad......made me cry......I hit all ranges of emotion. Loved it!
