i got the theatres early expecting a line waiting for this movie. there wasnt a line. i was surprised by it and then started doubting the movie. but to my doubts the movie was simply astonishing. it played with every emotion there is. i dont cry during movies but ill admit i was teary eyed at several points. if there is a movie out there that will touch the hearts of anybody who watches it. The Ernie Davis Story is that movie!

OMG! You MUST see get this movie. I had never heard of this guy and I love football and I am an African American. Not only is the storyline outstanding but the acting is superb. Give it a chance and I promise you won't be disappointed. I didn't even realize it was out on DVD until I saw it listed on PPV. Forget that! I'm on my way to Target to BUY IT!!!!

I absolutely loved this movie. The story and the characters were so compelling that I forgot the fact that I hate football, LOL! I laughed, cried, and cheered throughout this movie. It was inspirational and educational but at the same time, it was also very entertaining. The only negative thing is that I wouldn't take young children to see it because there's a lot more foul language than in most PG movies. For teenagers and adults though, I think that the positive messages far outweigh the bad language. I definitely plan on buying the DVD when it comes out!

This movie was GREAT. It pulled at all my emotions. I wasn't sure what to expect of this movie. It dealt with many levels of life..but it pulled out what was most important. I smiled, I laughted, I cried and I got anger...But most of all I was encouraged. My son is a college football player and I could only hope he will impact others such as Ernie Davis has. It is a must see movie. .

Just came home from a thoroughly memorable and entertaining movie. It evoked some sad memories but was truly uplifting. A must see for everyone, not just sports fans.

I saw the movie at a premier last night and went into it as a girl not into sports deadset that I wouldn't like the movie. It was truly one of the best movies I've seen. The script was phenomenal and the actors perfectly executed it. I smell Oscar buzz. And all I can say is that it's a shame that more people don't have an impact even at 70 that Ernie Davis had by 23.
