This movie was so bad. Sylvester the Cat gets his first big screen role playing Dustin Hoffman who plays Mr. Magorium and was possibly trying to outdo Ishtar on this perfermance. No emotion, no excitement...this was just terrible, flat, you name it it was painful. Please I beg of you don't see this bomb. It will go down as one of the worst ever for Hoffman/Sylvester and that is saying something. If you liked Deck the Halls with Matthew and Danny last year you just might like this...because they are both sooooo poorly made. My guess is that this movie was made in less than a month. I really think the other reviewers are on the take if they think this was good. Please don't go see this movie!

the newspapers that wrote mediocre reviews would have changed their views with sean penn susan sarandon as theactors michael moore and al gore as director and [produceritwould have been raves not rants throw in al franken it would be considered academy award favorite. r rey newport beach cal.
