Not very good compared to the other 2 IP Man movies. If you liked Crounching Tiger... you will like this movie. But it offers a different perspective of IP man's life. All in all it's a watchable film.

This movie really sucked because they cut more than 20 minutes of important parts from the original version, so I was confusing how every sequence tied together and thus the whole story. This movie sucked, the fight seen in the rain in the begining sucked. All the other fight seens sucked. To much talking in which you had to read the subtitles. To much lovey dovey stuff. I don't mine a little bit of amor in the movie but not thewhole movie. I was ready to walk out, but i felt i might as well stick through since i watched this far. If you like IP man 1,2,3 this doesn't come close.

Beautiful character study of Bruce Lee's teacher Ip Man. A rare depiction of the secretive world of true gung fu society. This is much more of an art film for the true practitioners of gung fu, not the casual KUNG FU fan. Very different from Donnie Yen's amazing \"Ip Man\" series.
