This movie could quite possibly be the worst movie I have ever seen in my life (and people I watch a lot of movies). I cracked a smile 4-5 times in the entire movie. I'm a 16 year old guy, and even the various graphic sex scenes/tit scenes couldn't save the poor acting, and terrible "comedy" of this movie. The ONLY saving grace is that Jerry Stiller is still funny as hell, but sadly he has a total of 5 mins of screen time.

1st time I walked out in the middle of a movie. This film is monstrously bad! Can I please have my money back?

I usually like Ben Stiller but this was the worst movie that I have seen in years! It was horribly offensive with no redeeming qualities. I kept wanting to walk out but I kept hoping that it would get better, however it only got much worse! I will definitely think twice before ever seeing another Ben Stiller movie. My boyfriend and I both felt like we needed a shower after watching this movie.

I saw this movie last weekend as a sneek preview. I loved it! I thought it was one of the best movies I have seen this year. It was refreshing to sit through a movie without the nudity, sex, language and violence. The characters were well thought out and wonderfully acted. The story was sweet and the family dynamics were warm and funny. I am quickly becoming a big Steve Carrell fan!

I laugh easily and loudly at good comedies so I wasn't surprised to find myself roaring at times, early during The Heartbreak Kid. But sadly the big laughs were too few. The smaller laughs came and went while the smiles eventually turned to yawns. One of the running gags, a hole inside the nose, relates to former cocaine abuse. That's a long stretch for humor, and sick humor too. In the end I'd say wait for the DVD.

Ben Stiller is not a likeable character. Donkey sex and a woman peeing on a man and a weird crotch shot. Enough said

I personally thought the movie was very funny. Though there was some vulgar language and sex scenes, I feel that they added to the comedic factor of the film. This film is definitely not for children, but you shouldnt be taking your kids to R rated films if they are under age in the first place. And if they are over 17, this is probably nothing that they haven't heard before. They did stress that the R rating was associated with this film for the adult content in the previews..so there should have been no surprise. I thought there were many funny parts...and I personally love that Ben and Jerry stiller worked together in this film. The comments made by Jerry stiller were so unexpected that they were hilarious. I would definitely recommend it to others.
