  • Working on a scale that's minuscule by studio standards, the Dardenne brothers have made yet another movie that does what Hollywood used to do - keep us rapt, and leave us grateful. show more

  • It's the powerful emotional punch their films deliver - and this one is no exception - that elevate the game, that make them so satisfying, so worthwhile. The Kid With a Bike grabs at the heart. show more

  • Kindness is evident in even the most hurt or exasperated moments of de France's lovely performance as Samantha. But then, kindness couched in unblinking social realism is an intrinsic part of how these supremely gifted filmmakers view the world. show more

I am surprised that no on has mentioned that this is a remake of another movie of the same name. I liked the original better. I am most of all more amazed that this movie won the award. This is but a mere remake of an original.

This was one of the best films I have ever seen. I cried out of sadness for the character Cyril. The actor who played Cyril, Thomas Doret, was so awesome. Where did they find this kid? I loved him and I hope this won\'t be his only film. I highly recommend this film.

Just like the character of Cyril, I got knocked off my bike with such abruptness---Cyril due to his past and myself with wondering why the movie was ending half finished---so unsatisfying
