I think the Brits are making movies that should shame Hollywood. An engaging story, well acted, superbly shot, and well directed.

amazing film. Colin Firth was fantastic! not only did he have a stammer in the movie, but he completely changed the way he sounds, and Geoffrey Rush was also great! If it were not for christian bales insane performance in The Fighter, Geoffrey would have totally won best supporting actor. LOVE LOVE LOVE this movie!

Simply Wonderful! I just saw the PG-13 version today and it was sensational! Even though the DVD is already out many people still went to see it (it was sold out). This movie totally deserved the oscar! When the movie was over everyone claped there hands.

a first rate british film. a great acting by both Firth and by Rush. terriffic scenes make this the best British release in years in my mind. 5 stars all the way. A gritty film with likable characters. A character study that is so well worth seeing its even a movie I would like to own on DVD.
