Synopsis

Israeli director Arnon Goldfinger brings the history of popular Yiddish theatre to the screen in this documentary about the legendary Burstein family. The story begins in Poland, where patriarch Pesach'ke ran away from home to join a travelling show, and documents his success in New York's Yiddish theatre, his triumphant return to Europe with his wife and troupe, and the family's subsequent emigration to Israel.
