Visually the movie is stunning...pastel colors wash the landscape of early 19th Paris as well as the French seaside.....the costumes are magnificent and evocative....the actors convey the consuming an... d possessive nature of desire..the script is top rate as is the direction....watching one is swept away by the beauty and lust of the actors....a real delight of the senses...
