Absolutely amazing!! See the director's edition, it is totally worth it!! The special effects are breathtaking and it, along with the others in the trilogy are a perfect adaption of the books (which is rare, but in this case actually true)!! The best movies ever, a must see for any scifi/fantasy fan, or anyone just interested in an awesome movie!!!

Worth every minute, three hours and all. the movie seems as if it just jumped out of the book, a must see!!!
