A warm and touching story about the innocence of a young Jewish boy faced with the fantasies of make believe and the piercing reality of persecution during world war II. Protected by a wonderful mothe... r figure in Louise Fletcher, he takes on manhood by going after a sweet young Dutch girl and a German Officer who he decides must pay for his crimes.
