Your Reviews
In this movie and in Satantango, Bela Tarr has made movies that are fascinating artistic productions, blending outstanding cinematography, mood matching music, realistic acting from people that are re... al looking instead of Hollywood glamor types, and great pacing (which seems slow at times but builds suspense or allows the viewer to fully absorb the scene). The action can be simple, or even mundane, but the artistic production is worth the viewer's interest. Tarr ends this movie, as well as Satantango, with ambiguity - loose threads and unanswered questions. Mildly disconcerting, then you realize Tarr was just playing a joke on you, the viewer. The powerful images of his movies do stay with you afterward, in a haunting fashion. Full Review
