Can't give this less than one star. It is the only movie I have ever wanted to ask for my money back. I think a lot of high raters are blinded by the love of the book. So cheesy, I can't believe it.

If i could give this movie less than 1 star I would. I am a huge fan of the series and have read the books. I was highly anticipating this movie and maybe that's why it was such a huge let down. I realize that movies tend to be an \"interpretation\" of a book, but this was down right butchery.

I like it , but not all of the chages were right for the film.

This one is by far the worst of the “Twilight” copies. And when that bunch includes “The Host” and “I Am Number Four,” that’s saying something. Full Review

Everything chugs along briskly and reasonably entertainingly until running off the rails a bit with a wildly overcomplicated finale. Full Review

Though imaginatively directed by Harald Zwart, Mortal Instruments, which is adapted from Cassandra Clare's YA novels, is marred by significant flaws. Full Review

The storyline is at times muddled and incoherent. This won't bother readers much since they have the "inside track" on what's happening. Then again, the narrative is so predictable that maybe it doesn't matter. Full Review
