  • Bejo (The Artist) digs deep into the secrets and lies that have afflicted all her relationships, in a wonderfully affecting film that haunts you long after it ends. show more

  • The Past makes conventional movies feel artificial. Watching the characters interact in this movie feels like "Here is real life," and real life just happens to be strangely compelling. show more

  • Farhadi's latest film is almost hypnotically compelling, spinning an intricate web of predicaments, emotional reactions and resolutions in a domestic drama that leaves the viewer reeling by its conclusion. show more

White subtitles need to be outlined in black so that you can still read them on a light background. That might have helped a little in understanding this complex web of human interaction and emotion.

The film's characters are absolutely believable. You can feel their emotion. The children are beyond actors, they are the character themselves. The film moves with ease and intensity....The last few moments pull you, captivate you, cause you to hold your breath and wait.....................
