Wayne Wang's character study Princess of Nebraska stars Ling Li as a young woman named Sasha who finds herself carrying the baby of an opera performer who finds himself on rough times after he gets caught in a compromising relationship with another man. Sasha travels to San Francisco in order to terminate the pregnancy, but while there meets the acquaintance of many people including a family that gives her shelter and a prostitute.
