The Savages User Reviews

The Acting is really good, but the story is all about Quiet Desperation. This movie even borders on being slow and boring!!!! And I agree with the reviewer, ksharlan, below. Clearly, this story is about the writer herself, who has a miserable self-absorbed life. Don't waste your time seeing this bomb. I walked out 3/4 of the way through the movie. I just couldn't take it anymore.

My wife and I just saw it ---what a truly MOVING picture --- Sad but true. Many of us will have parents like this---very difficult. And as we all get older -- we see ourselves in the same senario. A must see for all of us. GREAT.

This movie spend a great deal of time trying to be credible by going into details about a common event - children dealing with parents that are not able to take care of themselves, and at the end they blew it by making sure to wrap it up in a nice bow. What a waste.Also, why does is seem there are so many stories about "writers" and "actors". If these writers were talented they would write about real peaple, instead of about themselves and thier self obsorbed lives. Maybe they are just lazy.

Just saw the movie....It was great. Acting was superb...just like watching someone's life...I wish more movies like this would be made - real, touching, sincere.

I saw the Savages last night and what a great movie it moved me ...it shows you real life and how people see the other side of the story how do you see your Dad suffering silently and when can you do about it and what does it do to your life....and how siblings can come closer in a situation like this and put aside their stupid differences... I loved it and wished that when my time comes I can go fast and not to burden my children.. Please God grant me my wish..
