This movie was amazing and I was happy to see that it did follow the book although some of the "grit" was left out. It puts you thru every conceivable emotion, I think all the young people need to see this movie to see what we as a people had to go thru in the sixties. How important it is to get out and vote and not take things for granted. We still have a long way to go! Everyone did a great job playing their roles. I just wished we got to know the characters better. A real uplifting movie that I'm ready to experience again. Please go see it.

This is the best movie I've seen in a long, long time. The acting was fantastic! A beautiful and riveting story! Even better than the book!

This was a beautiful movie about friendship, family, and unconditional love. It shows how everybody has stuff in their past, both good and bad, that helps make them who they are today. I was born in 1963 and I'm always shocked to see how bad segregation was back then. Also, I've always been a big fan of Dakota Fanning and she's never disappointed me yet. She's a wonderful little actress who's only getting better with age. Queen Latifah also gave a great performance as a wise and caring motherly figure. Please go see this movie. You won't be disappointed!

The storytelling was done with perfection by the whole cast. It is such a beautiful film and deserves t be seen by everyone. This is an especially great film for famlies whose children are not familiar with the horrible treatment of black people in the sixties in the South. Just a reminder of how far this country needs to still go! But full of Hope and Promise fro Change.

The movie goes right to your soul and you feel that you are seeing something very special. It was truly moving. I loved it! Everyone did a great job. Jennifer Hudson never ceases to amaze me with her multi-talents.
